I am writing my blog on a Sunday this week as I will be in the Drakensberg on holiday next week.

Well my amalgam fillings were replaced by a normal dentist so I thought a good detox was in order. I started to research how to detox from heavy metals and came across everything from coffee enemas to ionic foot baths. These either sounded too invasive or too far fetched. So I googled natural heavy metal detox and came across a product/food called Chlorella. Since this was a food (blue/green algae) and naturally didn’t contain iether gluten or yeast I thought I would try it.

I have been on Chlorella for about three/four days now. I am a bit more unstable than Read more…

Well, I had all my amalgam fillings replaced with composite white fillings. I didn’t expect to see a difference for about a month or two, but boy was I wrong. I immediately had more strength and control over my movements.  I started to see things and think more clearly. I had the patience to think/analyse a situation before I acted and jumped right in..

I know the above improvements are far from 100%, but they are improvements none the less and hopefully the detox won’t take to long which should see even more positive results.

I would just like to point out that although the amalgam replacement might not work for everybody with ataxia and I wasn’t sure that it would work for me. I got them replaced because Read more…

I have been contemplating replacing my amalgam (mercury fillings) for a while now, but last week I thought that if I don’t do it now I will never do it. So I researched this subject thoroughly only to find controversial data on the subject. Some say that amalgams should definitely come out as they leak mercury and are highly toxic. Others say that the amount of mercury that they leak is not considered harmful. The experts do however agree that amalgams leak mercury and we all know that mercury affects the brain.

We get mercury in our vegetables because of the soil, in the air we breath and in the fish we eat as well as our amalgam fillings.  We can’t do anything about the first three, but it just made sense to me that my amalgams were contributing to the amount of mercury I was consuming. Also because of my ataxia which Read more…

I would like your opinion, but thought that I should write my future blogs about the weeks progression or degradation and will keep the forum for discussions, reports on foods etc. So to kick things off  let me report on the last weeks activities.

I started the week off well, I had been drinking a lot of water, I felt strong and in control of my movements. I drink reverse osmosis filtered ozone water which I would take  to work to drink during the day. I would take a litre to work and start the second litre when I got home in the afternoon. I had 2 x litres per day for about  2 weeks prior, but last week Wednesday I woke up with terrible Tinnitus (ringing in the ears). Although I didn’t feel any weaker the Tinnitus was very irritating. By Thursday the ringing had got so loud that it interfered with my concentration and I couldn’t think straight. The worst was I battled to sleep at night and only fell asleep around 2:00am.

The next day I was so tired and naturally my ataxia became worse. By accident I left the water at home and by 3:00pm I noticed that day my Tinnitus had somewhat  faded . I did some research into ozone water and Tinnitus, but found nothing conclusive except a posting on a forum saying that Tinnitus is  Read more…
